Community Projects and Partnerships
The Crystal Coast Quilters' Guild (CCQG) has a long history of making and distributing quilts of comfort, not only to organizations in Carteret County, but throughout the Nation. One of the founding tenets of the Crystal Coast Quilters' Guild (CCQG) is our commitment to outreach efforts in our local community.
2021 was an exciting year and the CCQG never skipped a beat! Not only did we answer the call for help and make over 1,000 face masks for Carteret Health Care and various local assisted living locations; CCQG members also have stepped up to make fidget quilts for patients and quilts for the newborns to commemorate National Quilting Day. In addition, CCQG began a new partnership with the Carteret Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Southmountain and provided over 140 quilts to the children in their program.
