WHAT'S NEW

Time to hit the ground running.  Organize those sewing spaces, make those lists for UFOs, WiPs, Projects Half Done, new projects, classes to take, techniques to learn and get started on having a great year.

Welcome to our new members: Cheryl G., Kelly S., and Betty E.  We are looking forward to getting to know you both.

Look up! All virtual and in-person events are now listed under one link on the horizontal menu above.  Also, the Calendar is color-coded: Green for Guild sponsored events, Orange for Workshop events, and Blue for activities of interest.  Click on Calendar  and explore what the Guild has to offer!

Sacred Threads Art Quilt Exhibit March 4-25!

For the past 10 years, the Sacred Threads organization has staged an annual exhibit featuring the categories of Joy, Spirituality, Healing, Grief, Inspiration and Peace/Brotherhood.  It is a juried exhibit (meaning the cream of the crop gets in) which includes many award-winning art quilters from across the country. CCQG is partnering with Core Sound Museum & Heritage Center and the Carteret County Public Library System to bring the exhibit to Carteret County for National Quilting Month.  The exhibit will be displayed March 4-25 at the Core Sound Community Outreach Center located at 806 Arendell Street, Morehead City and will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:00-5:00.

In addition, Core Sound’s popular “Parlor Talks” series will feature quilting topics:

March 9:  Introduction to exhibit activities from the Partners; Guest Speaker and refreshments.

March 16:  "Feed Sacks' Role in Quilting and Commerce" shared by members of CCQG and the Core Sound Quilters.

March 23: "Quilts as Art" presented by Jon Burger, Director, Craven County Arts Council.

All “Parlor Talks” are held at 2:00pm. at Core Sound Community Outreach Center. For more information...
