The Crystal Coast Quilters Guild is excited to have Phyllis K. Reeves, the former owner of Patchwork Plus, one of the largest quilt shops in Virginia, with us for 3 days of lectures and workshops on March 21-23, 2019. Phyllis has taught in quilt shops and guilds throughout Virginia, Maryland and Kansas. Her focus is using scraps, string piecing, and using the Deb Tucker Studio 180 rulers.
Please join us on Thursday, March 21, 2019, for a trunk show and lecture entitled "Scrap Sensible". Phyllis will discuss organizing scraps, deciding what size scraps to keep, and pre-cutting scraps (or not) for storage.
On March 22-23, 2019, Phyllis will the teaching the Lemoyne Trails workshop. The Lemoyne Trails is a modern twist to the Lemoyne Star and Snail's Trail blocks. Using Studio 180 rulers, you will learn how easy it is to create these blocks accurately with very little fabric waste. During class, you will learn the steps to make a Lemoyne Star block with 2 different background fabrics and a Snail's Trail block with multiple colors.
